The AFR 2020 Most Innovative Companies awards submissions have just closed and we are proud to say that DXN has been shortlisted for our Modular Edge Data Centres.
DXN Edge Data Centre Modules are turnkey prefabricated modular data centres. They provide a complete data centre solution including power systems, cooling systems, power distribution systems, cable trays, fibre trays, fire detection and suppression systems, structured cabling, lighting, access control, CCTV security systems and complete data centre monitoring solutions in a box. The modules can be deployed as a stand -alone solution or combined with each another to scale with business needs.
We combine our modules to create fully functional data centres that are designed and constructed to meet the Uptime Institute Tier III Constructed Facility specifications. Think of a DXN Edge Module as a Lego block; each “block” is capable of housing x number of racks and with the addition of another block you can quickly and easily expand the size of your data centre as the need arises.
Information accessed on the Internet goes through a data centre somewhere in the world. To date, most data has been stored on cloud-based servers in dispersed locations. However, cloud computing, mobile broadband, and IoT are putting those data centres under pressure, causing latency. For the systems of the future to be feasible, low latency is the key to safe, reliable operation. Companies also need to be able to scale quickly and cost-effectively.
